Patrik Zukalweb and application developer
I build, repair and take over websites. Even the one you have lost access to.
Have a site? I go through it for free and tell you straight what can be done with it. Need a new site or an application? I build it from the structure up, through to launch.
- Reply within three working days
- You deal with me directly
- The code is yours on final payment
- In production: Iuriverse (my product), Vystaveno (lead developer)
What people come to me with.
Scope and one figure come after I have been through the site or the brief. None of it commits you to anything.
Repair and takeover
Your developer quit, raised their rates or stopped replying. The site is slow, broken, or you cannot get into it.
A free site review, then repairs, speed work, a redesign or a move elsewhere. Whatever the site runs on.
A new site, built to fit
The company has moved on and the site never caught up. Or you still need a site and do not want one from a template.
Structure, copy, design and build as one piece of work. From the first call to launch you deal with me.
Finishing a stalled build
The application is ninety percent done and keeps falling over in production. The original developer is gone.
A code review and a straight answer: finish it or rewrite it. Then I do it and hand it over.
Integrations
The shop cannot talk to stock, accounting or the fulfilment tool, and someone retypes it all by hand.
First I check whether the platform already does it. I connect only what is actually missing.
Figma to Next.js
A studio has a finished design and needs a front end that matches it and stays fast on a phone.
A production front end from your file. Under your name, under NDA, the client stays yours.

What the people I built it for say.
„During the move to a new server he tracked down why the site was slowing and why the checkout kept stalling.“
Full quote
On his first pass over the shop Patrik found something I had no idea about: the backup plugin was not installed at all and the last full backup was almost a year old. He also fixed a catalogue link that led to the terms and conditions, and the Google descriptions that were cut off mid sentence. During the move to a new server he tracked down why the site was slowing and why the checkout kept stalling. What I value is that he always writes down what he is leaving to me and why, and when he gets something wrong he says so himself.
„The site is full of animation and still loads fast.“
Full quote
We handed Patrik a finished design and a precise idea of the motion, and he brought it into the browser without compromise. He took care on his own that the movement stayed smooth on weaker phones, which we never had to chase. The site is full of animation and still loads fast. Next time we have a project where the detail matters, we are calling him.
„Patrik built the identity and the whole site so that it feels dignified and promises nothing it cannot keep.“
Full quote
In my field most websites look cheap and untrustworthy, and that was exactly my problem. Patrik built the identity and the whole site so that it feels dignified and promises nothing it cannot keep. What I appreciate most is that he proposed a site with no tracking cookies himself, because my clients care about their privacy.
„If you're after a solid analysis, I can recommend Patrik.“
Full quote
I don't do this often, but I've been reading Patrik Zukal's report and I have to say it surprised me. I handed him one of my own sites and I'm glad someone actually took a proper look at it. If you're after a solid analysis, I can recommend Patrik.
Have a site that misbehaves?
Send me the link. I go through it for free and write back with what I found and what can be done about it.
Send me your sitePlanning a new site or app?
Tell me what it has to do and for whom. I come back with the questions that decide the scope.
Describe the projectWhat happens when you write.
Send a link or a few sentences
The form below or an email is enough. I reply within three working days.
A pass through the site or the brief
For an existing site you get a list of findings: what is broken, what slows it down and what costs you enquiries. For a new project, the questions that decide the scope.
Scope and one figure
You know what you get and what it costs before anything starts. If starting again beats repairing, I say so, even though it is the smaller job for me.
Build, launch, handover
Throughout, you speak with me. On final payment the code is yours, no licence and no dependency on me.
From the first sketch to launch, you deal with me.
I am Patrik Zukal, a web and application developer based in Prague. I design and build sites myself, with no agency and no relay between a salesperson, a designer and a coder.
Before I started programming I ran shifts in a restaurant. That is why I care how a business actually works before I care what goes on its homepage. Operations systems are where I stayed: Iuriverse for law firms is my own product, and on Vystaveno, a system for point of sale, stock and reservations, I am the lead developer.
On client sites I take the whole job, from structure and copy to deployment, and I take over sites that someone else wrote. What I have built, and for whom, you can see in the case studies and on the live sites.

A brand studio delivered the finished design and a clear idea of the motion. I built the production site, the animation and the performance work that keeps it smooth on a phone. The live version runs at vondrart.studio.

Are we a fit?
The industry does not matter, and neither does what the site runs on. What matters is the situation it is in and what it has to change.
It is a fit when
- Your developer quit, raised their rates or stopped replying, and you cannot get at your own site.
- The company has moved on, the site never caught up, and it is costing you enquiries.
- An application is ninety percent done and keeps falling over in production.
- Your shop cannot talk to stock, accounting or your fulfilment tool.
- You still need a site, and you want it built from structure and copy up, not from a template.
It is not a fit when
- Price is the only criterion and you are collecting the cheapest quote.
- The site has to be live within a week, with the materials to follow at some point.
- You need a logo, graphics or banners. That is not what I do.
- You expect a guaranteed first place in search results. Nobody can promise that honestly.
Before you get in touch
When do I get a price?
I go through the site first and send you what I found. The scope and one figure follow from that. The review is free and commits you to nothing.
Who actually does the work?
I do. Throughout the project you speak directly with the person building it.
Will you take on a site someone else wrote?
That is most of this work. I need nothing from the previous developer except access. When even that is gone, there is almost always a way around it.
Our site is in Webflow or WordPress and the person who built it is gone. Will you take it?
Yes. I need nothing from them but access, and I can work inside someone else's project without rewriting it on day one. If the tool has stopped being enough for what you need, I say so plainly and offer to move the site elsewhere.
What if the code is bad enough that starting again is cheaper?
Then I say so, even though it is the smaller job for me. Building on foundations that do not hold costs more than laying them properly.
We have no site and no copy yet. Is that a problem?
No. Structure and copy are part of the job. What I need from you is who you sell to and what sets you apart. The rest is my work.
Who owns the code?
You do, on final payment. No licence, no hosting lock in, no dependency on me to publish a change.
Do you work as a subcontractor under our name?
Yes. The client, the design credit and the invoice stay with you. I have signed NDAs on this basis and I publish nothing you have not cleared.
Tell me what you need solved.
Whether you have a site that misbehaves or are only planning a new one, a few sentences are enough. You need neither a brief nor a budget yet, that is my job.
- Within three working days you hear from me, not from an assistant or an autoresponder.
- For an existing site you get a free, non-binding review with findings.
- For a new project a few questions about the scope, then the scope and one figure.
